Meet the Staff

Judy, who has been working at the Jewish Community Center since July 2008, loves teaching, whether in the pool, at the gym or at day camp.

“I firmly believe that keeping your mind and body active leads to a healthy life, and I am passionate about inspiring others to do the same,” she says. Judy teaches SMART swimming, which she learned to coach while living in California. This technique provides non-swimmers and swimmers alike with the tools to master an efficient stroke though elongating the body, gliding and core rotation. SMART is also a highly useful method for endurance swimmers and adult learners. In her spare time, Judy enjoys hiking, bicycling, swimming, running, fishing - and a triathlon every now and again.
