 SAJE

SAJE for All Seasons provides year round community-wide learning opportunities, which offer compelling and meaningful programs that connect people to Judaism.

The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit, together with the Federation's Alliance for Jewish Education and the Michigan Board of Rabbis, launched SAJE (Seminars for Adult Jewish Enrichment) in 1999 as a cutting-edge Jewish educational forum for adults in our community. During the past two years, SAJE has undergone a transformation into SAJE for All Seasons, offering year-round learning opportunities.

This year, SAJE for All Seasons is excited to introduce our even further expanded and enhanced program, including our monthly SAJE Lecture Series, which features prominent Jewish leaders, educators and lecturers from both our own Detroit community and around the world. SAJE is thrilled to be able to feature such outstanding and distinguished speakers as Malcolm Hoenlein, Ruth Messinger, Rabbi Joseph Telushkin, Dr. Deborah Lipstadt and Rabbi Sidney Schwarz, among others! of our 2007-08 programs!

Also new for this year is SAJE Body & Soul, which integrates Jewish learning and spiritual well-being with physical fitness. This innovative model features area rabbis leading Jewish study sessions in collaboration with the Center's world-class fitness facility offerings: a true mind, body and soul experience! Please check back here soon for a complete class schedule for Fall 2007.

For more information or to register for any of SAJE's upcoming programs please contact Adina Pergament, director of SAJE for All Seasons, at 248.432.5470 or apergament@jccdet.org.

SAJE is endowed by a generous gift from Cis Maisel Kellman.
SAJE for All Seasons is made possible, in part, thanks to the generous support of Maida Frank Portnoy, Beverly Baker, Sophie Pearlstein and Sydelle & Sheldon z'l Sonkin.
