COJAR is a Jewish Community Center program created by Young Israel Council of Metropolitan Detroit in association with Yeshiva Beth Yehuda’s Partners in Torah. COJAR provides outstanding educational, cultural and social programming for active retirees, men and women 55 and older, who live an Orthodox lifestyle. COJAR is unique in its mission because it specifically addresses the needs of Orthodox Jews in terms of kashrus and programming (including scheduling, material, content and presenters). COJAR creates a comfortable environment, as well as maintains a high level of programming standards, for its members. COJAR’s fees are low to allow the broadest possible participation.
