Kahn Building Activities
Supportive Communities, a collaborative program of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit's Elderlink agencies, is partnering with the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit to provide daytime activities for older adults at both the JPM and Kahn Buildings. The program, which is open to the community, includes concerts, health and personal enrichment lectures, films and classes.
More than just an activity program, Supportive Communities helps older adults "age in place" through a range of services geared to maintain independence, promote physical and emotional well-being, reduce isolation, foster relationships with people of all ages, and maintain involvement in the community. These services include the daytime programs, informal social work services, limited transportation coordination and a monthly newsletter highlighting volunteer opportunities and community events and resources. In addition, program staff coordinates the JCC Solo Seniors, a social networking group for those 60 and over.

Please call 248.432.5486 for information about Supportive Communities programs.
