Someone is at the Door
It is dark outside. A terrible storm.
The knocking begins. Slow and steady: tap, tap, tap.
You catch a glance through a small window and see only a profile of a tall figure. Something is in his hand.
Slowly, carefully you move toward the door.
“Who is it?” you call.
And then: “Who is it?” you say again when suddenly – gasp – you hear him!
“It’s the mailman. I’m here with your brochure for the JCC’s Lenore Marwil Jewish Film Festival!”
From the average citizen to the most powerful man in the world, everyone needs to escape from time to time. John Kennedy loved everything James Bond (during the Cuban Missile Crisis, he lamented that his staff did not include the famous spy), while Ronald Reagan listed The Hunt for Red October as his favorite book.
If, like our former presidents, you’re ready to experience a great adventure, then please join us when the Lenore Marwil Jewish Film Festival presents “A Grain of Truth” at 8 p.m. Monday, May 8!
This fascinating film focuses on a prosecutor in Poland who investigates a string of murders that invoke the infamous blood libel myths.
