Political Poetry or Poetic Politics?

From graffiti on Tel Aviv streets to secret summits with world leaders, politics is always part of the conversation in Israel where some of the most eloquent - and outspoken - voices are those of poets. Join us for a class that looks at the language of poetry as a voice for the heart, the soul and for political change.

This class will focus on works by Nathan Alterman, Yehuda Amichai, Uri Tzvi Greenberg, Anda Pinkerfeld, Alexander Penn, Yonatan Ratosh, Dalia Ravikovitch and Nathan Zach.

Wednesdays, 7-8:15 p.m.
June 7, 14, 21

Series cost: $50 ($40 for JCC members)
Drop-in fee: $7
