“SPEAKING GEEK: USING POP CULTURE TO BUILD AN EMOTIONAL VOCABULARY”

Jennifer is an award winning author of the Asperkids books, the “Speaking Geek” series and her new book, “Autism in Heels.” She has given voice to a Sesame Street muppet and has written for Amy Poehler’s “Smart Girls at the Party.” Having won numerous awards, Jennifer is listed in “Who’s Who” list of International Aspie Men- tors, is on the Panel of the Autism Society of America and has spoken at the White House and for Their Royal Highnesses in UK and Denmark. Jennifer has Asperger’s along with her three children.

With originality, insight and humor, Jennifer provides e ective and fun ways to engage kids with Asperger syndrome. Jennifer will share a treasure trove of ways to inspire imagination through sensory experiences and discuss the power of special interests with reference to “pop culture” to foster academic, social and emotional growth.
