JFamily, housed in the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit, provides support, education, connection and FUN to JFamilies of all ages!  We offer programs throughout the community and at our very own Shalom Street Family Parenting Center.

Meet our family of programs:

jbabydetroit! - Families with children 0-3 years


jbaby!, helps expectant parents and families of babies make connections, build friendships and engage in Jewish life. Sign up for our popular prenatal program, jbaby! BUMP, a five-week course that covers everything from labor and delivery to baby care all with a Jewish twist. Join us for our weekly new moms support program, jbaby! NEWborn providing moms with a warm and friendly community. PJ Library - Families with children 6 months -9 years

A gift of Jewish books for Jewish Children. PJ Library is a national book and family engagement program. Each month, PJ sends high-quailty, age-appropriate Jewish books and music to families.  Shalom Street Family Parenting CenterFamilies of all ages 

The Shalom Street Family Parenting Center located inside the JCC brings together the highest quality Jewish Family Engagement and Education with a best-in-class parent education program all under one roof. Join us for one of our many parent/tot classes, family workshops, or open play opportunities. Shalom Street is currently in its first phase of an exciting transformation! The fully realized center will open mid-2019. It will included a public Makers-Space, a baby-focused play area with nursing facilities, as well as our very own PJ Library! Franklin Jewish Community Neighborhood - Families of all ages 

This pilot program aims to bring together the 400+ Jewish families in Franklin to build relationships and a sense of community. This project is supported by a Director Discretionary Grant from the William Davidson Foundation. Large Community-Wide Programming - Families of all ages

SPARC – Single Parent Alliance and Resource Connection Single Parent Families of all ages

Teen Engagement - Families with teens

Our director of teen engagement gathers youth professionals in the community in order to provide a forum of mutual learning and camaraderie among each other. The teen engagement program sets the community agenda for training and maintaining youth advisors and professionals and for connecting youths with Judaism. More information coming soon!
